Pakistan shuts airspace to Indian airlines, suspends trade (PTI)

Pakistan has gone to extreme lengths to raise tensions against India, shutting down airspace to all Indian-owned and Indian-operated airlines. Moreover, Pakistan has closed all commercial relations with India, including third-country products transiting through Pakistan to or from India.

Pakistan's closure of airspace and trade restrictions will have severe economic and diplomatic consequences for both nations. Pakistan's restriction of trade covers products from third countries that pass through Pakistan to or from India.

Indus waters treaty dispute

Pakistan has also protested India's move to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, saying that any move to block or divert the course of water allotted to Pakistan will be viewed as "an act of war." This issue has widened the rift between the nations.

The closure of Pakistani airspace and the imposition of trade restrictions are serious retaliatory steps by Pakistan against India. The conflict between India and Pakistan remains on the rise, with both nations adopting tough positions against the other.
